Retro Horror

You may have found the likes of Alan Wake and Dead Space 2 have increased your washing basket loads. However, think back to those gaming gems which left you too scared to visit a National Trust mansion, needless to say those suspicious looking locker rooms were a no go. Considering just a few examples I can demonstrate that games from previous generations were often both scarier and more shocking to our undeveloped and over imaginative brains.  View my full article on The Motion Online.

Cookie Monster babies ...?

I always knew that blue monster was hiding something!  Following my in depth, Panorama style, investigation I followed the trail of the cookie monster's addiction back to the source of his funding (cookies aren't cheap you know).  The results were truly horrific ...

The monster skin trade is evidently doing very well.  Cookie Monster, if you're reading this, get help! Any advice for the cookie monster is welcome, please leave a comment.

My book ...

Got started on the book that I've been going on about for ages. Still need to iron a few things out but find writing very therapeutic.  If only I could earn money by doing this ...

I've also discovered what happens to all the Cookie Monster's children, it's not pretty but will upload evidence soon ... stay tuned.

The Motion Online

I write a weekly article for The Motion Online, an e-magazine covering a multitude of cultural avenues.  Each week I delve into the past of gaming and discuss various topics comparing the state of gaming then and now.  This week's article discusses the merits of team gaming, referencing the likes of Worms and Syndicate.

Read Go Team Retro and let me know what you think.

Low Expectations

While my expectations for this blog are currently low, I am hopeful that somewhere down the line this will change.  Perhaps I'll notice someone has read it or even that a comment has been left, this will make me happy, unless its a negative comment then I'll remain pessimistic.

So, what to expect.  I'll be writing reviews, probably not of anything too recent as you'll find those on the major sites.  Reviews and comments will certainly cover books, games, films and TV.  I'll be uploading photos I've taken but not in a poncy, aren't I good at photography' way.  I may also upload passages of stories I've written for some friendly feedback.

Hope you like it!
